Birthing With Love and Care Scholarship Fund was created as a way for Lauren to give back to her community.  The BWLC Fund offers full and partial scholarships to individuals that are most affected by poor maternal health outcomes. This includes a focus on Black and minority families as nationally, Black women are nearly three times more likely to die from pregnancy related causes than white women. In addition, the rate of infant mortality among Black babies is almost two times higher than the national average.

Thats why it is a mission of Birthing With LC to combat against these rates by providing Black woman and their families with the resources, education, and support they need to change the narrative one birth at a time.

We are thrilled to share that through generous donations from past clients, BWLC is offering two scholarships for births with an estimated due date in September, October, November, or December of 2023. Scholarship recipients will be eligible to receive birth doula services at no cost to them. This donation will allow those that are directly impacted by the health disparities contributing to poor maternal outcomes. This includes a focus on black and brown mothers and their families who may otherwise not be able to afford a doula to receive the emotional support, education, and physical support that we provide as your doula.

If you or someone you know would benefit from this scholarship please click the link below to fill out an application.

Applications will close August 1, 2023.
